There were times where I had to play around with a bunch of nonsense to get the program to update automatically. Don't expect to be installing updates easily. My solution to this ransomware problem is to use Deep Freeze (to protect all files on drive C. I lost some files on my D: drive due to the ransomware so now I always backup this drive more often as well. I always backup my C: drive so I was able to restore my operating sytem.
